Over the years I’ve reviewed a lot of different golf tech products, but there’s one that I’ve been wanting to try that up until recently had eluded me: the FlightScope Mevo. Not that it’s even all that old, but the user experience doesn’t feel quite as modern as it does on some of the apps of competitors like the R10, or even its big brother the Mevo Plus. FlightScope Mevo on FS Golf App Honestly, my only real critique of the app and experience is the FlightScope Mevo app is starting to show its age a little bit. Because of this, the mevo was displaying the total height of my shots more elevated than they probably were. Choose from a variety of interface options, including data blocks, 2D trajectory with data blocks, data table screen with averages for every club, and video from any angle with customizable data overlay. It feels like a small thing to be able to do this, but I found being able to use my watch to be an incredibly convenient and useful tool while I was on the range using the FlightScope. As someone who switches devices for my practice regularly depending on what I’m doing, not having my data sync up is really frustrating.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering FlightScope’s reputation for professional-level launch monitors. The Mevo Plus is one of the most accurate, affordable, and portable launch monitors available on the market. In the app you have to select that you are using the mevo indoors, enter precisely how far it is behind the ball, and the club you are using for each shot.

I have yet to be able to test this out indoors, but I’m hoping to soon and will update this review accordingly. Additionally, Flightscope recommends using a metallic sticker on your ball so it can accurately measure spin rates. When I first did my indoor testing on the outgoing Mevo+ 2 years ago, they felt good, but slightly inconsistent at times.
